Online Same Day Delivery FAQ

We’re proud to be partnering with DoorDash to offer you online same-day delivery and pickup for the first time on a selection of low-priced essential products, including grocery, snacks, pet care, garden, partyware, cleaning, toiletries, and other household items.

Order from over 250 of The Reject Shop’s stores across Australia via The Reject Shop website and the DoorDash app. On average, orders will be delivered in as little as 45 minutes. Alternatively, orders can be picked up in-store or scheduled for next-day delivery.

 

 

What is Online Same Day Delivery?

Online Same Day Delivery is a fast and convenient delivery option at The Reject Shop where you can get select low-priced essential products delivered to your door, sometimes in as fast as 45 minutes, provided you place your order by around 3:00pm (but this may vary by store and by day).

 

How does Online Same Day Delivery work?

Customers can click the ‘Order Online’ button at the top of the rejectshop.com.au website, which links to The Reject Shop’s DoorDash page. Enter your delivery address and, if your closest Reject Shop store is offering delivery, then start browsing a selection of The Reject Shop’s low-priced essential products, including grocery, snacks, petcare, garden, partyware, cleaning, toiletries and other household items.

 

Customers can choose to have their products delivered to their door or, alternatively, customers can pick-up their order in-store or schedule a next-day delivery.

 

When an order is received, the store is notified and the store will pack the order. Your DoorDash delivery driver will pick up the order from store and deliver it straight to your door.

 

Online Same Day Delivery is available at approximately 244 Reject Shop stores across Australia (other than South Australia at this stage). The delivery radius will vary from store to store – delivery will typically be available within a radius of up to 10km from the store location.

 

What is DoorDash?

DoorDash is a technology company that connects customers with their favourite local and national businesses in more than 4,000 cities in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

 

DoorDash started as an on-demand food delivery service. The Reject Shop is the first and largest non-food retailer in Australia to partner with DoorDash on its marketplace.

Is Online Same Day Delivery available in my area?

Online Same Day Delivery is available at approximately 244 Reject Shop stores across Australia. The delivery radius will vary from store to store – delivery will typically be available within a radius of up to 10km. The Reject Shop team is working closely with DoorDash to expand the number of stores that offer Online Same Day Delivery.

 

You can check the availability of the Online Same Day Delivery service in your area by clicking the ‘Order Online’ button at the top of the rejectshop.com.au website and entering your delivery address. If your address is within the delivery range, you can start browsing The Reject Shop’s low-priced essential products.

Are all products available for Online Same Day Delivery?

Currently, a selection of over 1350 low-priced essential products from The Reject Shop will be available for Online Same Day Delivery. This includes grocery, snacks, petcare, garden, partyware, cleaning, toiletries and other household items.

 

The Reject Shop team is working to add more and more products to its online offering.

What does Online Same Day Delivery cost?

The price of The Reject Shop products online will match the low prices we offer in store.

 

You can see the fees on the checkout screen, so you will know what the total is for your order before paying. You will also receive a receipt showing a breakdown of the order subtotal, applicable taxes and fees.

 

DoorDash will charge an everyday low delivery fee. In some cases, there may be an additional fee, including for orders below a minimum subtotal or for orders when demand is especially high.

Who will deliver my order?

Your order will be delivered by a DoorDash delivery driver (“Dasher”) who will identify themselves upon arrival.

Can I pick-up my order in store?

Yes. Once you have selected your items, at the checkout page, before clicking ‘Place Order’, simply select ‘Pick Up’ instead of ‘Delivery’ and you can pick up your order in store.

Can I schedule a delivery in advance?

Yes. Once you have selected your items, at the checkout page, before clicking ‘Place Order’, simply select ‘Delivery’ and then ‘Schedule for later’ (instead of ‘ASAP’) and you can select the date and time you wish to have your order delivered. After selecting the date and time you want, simply click ‘Place Order’ and DoorDash will handle the rest.

Can I track my Order?

From the ‘Orders’ tab on the DoorDash website, tap on your order to view its status. It will either be in the process of being confirmed, at the designated Reject Shop store, or on its way to you.

 

Once a DoorDash delivery driver (“Dasher”) has agreed to deliver your order, a map will appear showing their location respective to the store and the delivery address.

 

You can contact your Dasher directly to get the most up-to-date status on your order. To do so, below the status bar on your order, you can find buttons to call or text your Dasher.

 

Please note that Dashers need to stay safe and obey the rules of the road. A Dasher can't answer your phone call or text message while driving.

How do I redeem a promotional code?

You can redeem promotional codes on the Checkout page by entering them into the ‘Enter Promo Code’ box. Note: Promo codes are case sensitive.

How do I cancel my order?

If The Reject Shop store has not yet accepted your order, you will have the option to cancel via the DoorDash website.

 

If you need to cancel after your order has been accepted by The Reject Shop store, please contact the DoorDash support team on 1800 958 316 and follow the prompts. Alternatively, visit DoorDash support at https://help.doordash.com/

 

Note: if The Reject Shop store has accepted your order, DoorDash cannot issue a refund.

My order was missing an item / incorrect order

If a delivered order was missing item(s) or had incorrect item(s), please submit a report to the DoorDash support team:

 

  • On the DoorDash Website, tap on the three dashes located in the upper left-hand corner and select ‘Orders’ from the drop-down menu. Note: You must sign into the account you used to place the order.
  • Select the order you are inquiring about, then click Help.
  • Under the ‘Order Issues’ section, select the issue(s) that apply (i.e. ‘Missing Items’).
  • Select the detail(s) that apply to explain what went wrong (i.e. ‘Whole Item Missing’). Note: Providing additional information about the order in the ‘Details’ section is optional, but not required. Click on ‘Submit’.

I never received my order

If you do not receive your order, use the ‘Self Help’ tool on the DoorDash website which is the fastest and easiest way to have your issue immediately resolved. You must report orders that were never delivered ASAP so DoorDash can issue you the appropriate resolution.

 

Follow the instructions below to use Self Help:

  • On the DoorDash Website, tap on the three dashes located in the upper left-hand corner and select ‘Orders’ from the drop-down menu. Note: You must sign into the account you used to place the order.
  • Select the order that was never delivered and click ‘Help’ located next to ‘Delivered’ in the left corner on the website.
  • Under ‘Delivery Issues’, select ‘Dasher never arrived’.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to determine the best resolution.

I want to add or remove items in my order

If The Reject Shop store has not yet processed your order, you can make adjustments by chatting with a DoorDash support agent at https://help.doordash.com/. Alternatively,:

 

  • Select ‘Help’ from the menu in the upper left-hand corner of the DoorDash website
  • In the ‘Delivery Help’ section, select your current order and press ‘Make adjustments to this order’
  • Press ‘Chat with Support’ to be connected to an agent

 

Can I return/exchange the items I purchased online?

To return/exchange an item, please bring it back to The Reject Shop within 28 days with the original receipt and our team will do our best to help. We do not offer gift cards in exchange for a returned item. Note: The Reject Shop’s Returns/Exchange Policy will apply, which can be viewed by clicking here.

Can I redeem a DoorDash Gift Card at The Reject Shop Stores?

You can only redeem DoorDash Gift Cards on DoorDash. The Reject Shop does not accept DoorDash Gift Cards at its physical store locations.

Do I have to be at home to accept the delivery?

You must be at your delivery location to receive the order. Failing to do so can result in an order cancellation. In cases where a customer is unavailable to accept the delivery the DoorDash delivery driver (“Dasher”) may contact you to leave the order somewhere safe.
